Comfort Seats

Comfort and Safety

The comfort seat, also known as a lavatory seat or toilet seat, is an essential in any home. Those who have used "the facilities" in Asia will understand utterly.

The seat has to be strong enough to take a heavy person, and ideally should be able to take a large person. The seat should stay up if lifted. Given that much of the time the seat is not in active use it should be reasonably attractive to look at.

It needs to be easy to clean, with no furrows or decorative mouldings.

Wood Comfort Seat

This attractive standard comfort seat is round and comes in a variety of colours including dark brown (pictured) Mahogony, Oak, and Almond. It is made of natural wood. and is carved to the right shape. It is strong and easy to clean. The hinges are PVD Brushed Nickel.

Moulded Wood Comfort Seat

Made from moulded wood this seat is significantly cheaper than natural wood. It is really just as strong and has the advantage of being elongated rather than round. Colours are fawn and beige

Bamboo Comfort Seats

I would never have thought of using bamboo for a toilet seat. However, moulded and "fixed" there is the opportunity to configure the seats in an enormous variety of colours and designs. I have chosen the boldest design and a more standard design. The stainless steel hinges are fitted in the factory for perfect fit. The seats have a multi-coat surface to ensure years of easy use and cleaning.

Plastic Comfort Seats

Some people prefer plastic, because it fits in better with the rest of the bathroom. This is a round toilet seat shown in Avocado. Critics of plastic seats say they will not withstand the heavier user. I have not seen a cracked plastic toilet seat for years, so presumably the manufacturers have woken up.

Elongated Plastic Toilet Seats

This plastic comfort seat is in bone colour. The slow close feature is intended to stop the noise you sometimes get when a toilet lid or toilet seat falls down. Masny people prefer the elongated shape.
